ADVANCE SOIL SHRIMP POWDER is a substrate specially designed for shrimp tanks. It consists of black gravel with a grain size of approximately 2.5 mm. The substrate contains natural ingredients that have been carefully selected to create optimal water parameters for shrimps.

– By using it you will be able to maintain the carbonate hardness level up to 3d and the pH level in the range of 5.5-6.5. These water parameters allow the maintenance and breeding of the most popular dwarf shrimp Caridina, cf. cantonensis, including even the most demanding, selectively farmed Taiwanese varieties (e.g. Panda, King Kong and Red Wine) and most other freshwater shrimp of the genera Caridina and Neocaridina.

The substrate releases large amounts of humic acids into the water, which have a very favourable effect on the reproduction of shrimps (increasing their desire to reproduce, facilitating the maturation and hatching of eggs and the lifting of juvenile shrimps) In addition, the substrate enhances the growth of aquatic plants, which are an essential component of the shrimp’s environment and provides an ideal environment for beneficial filter-feeding bacteria.
