Calgrit is a granular shaped crushed limestone which adds calcium to the water and buffers the pH, preventing illnesses such as soft shell.

Calgrit should be about an inch thick on the bottom of your tank. There is no need to rinse.

Please note: Your tank will go cloudy for 24-48 hours and your turtles are fine to be in the water at this time.

Replace every 4 months.
